It is an attractive fern with dark green fronds, with a yellow stripe in the midrib of each frond. It has long (2' or more) bare, upright stipes and the frond is often tilted at a 90°angle.
It is said to be hardy to Zone 6, but loses it's foliage during winter freezes.
Bright light, no direct sunlight.
Water once or twice a week as needed.
Maintain between 45 and 85degrees F.
Fertilize once a month.
Nice in a cover pot.
